Handwoven by Irish textile artist Christina Drennan on her handmade loom, The Land Whispers is a large, captivating tapestry that embodies the earthy soul of Ireland. Crafted with rich Irish wool from Kerry, this piece draws you into a world of deep greens, lush purples, and warm golden hues. The colours tell their own tale: dark greens & turf browns echo the Irish fields, purples bloom like wild heather on the hills, and golden yellows and oranges bring to mind the gorse flowers and glowing sunlight filtering through coastal clouds.
Suspended from a locally sourced fallen Sally tree branch from Kilkenny, the natural, sinuous wood adds depth and a grounded elegance to the piece. Measuring approximately 73 inches in width and 46 inches in height (without the fringe), this artwork is substantial in both size and presence, hanging 3.5 inches from the wall and weighing around 25kg.
