Weaving the woven – This woven wool wall art was inspired by Irish landscapes.
The warp is cotton threads the weft using 100% Irish New Wool from Kerry Woolen Mills, they are sustainable & beautifully created.
This piece was handwoven on a handcrafted peg loom & hung from a prepared beautifully crafted piece of wood, that has been treated with linseed oil & hang with natural baby pink cotton cord.
Colours used: White, Purple, Dark Navy, Brown & and little Green
I used a piece of dried wood sourced locally, sanded it back and treated it with linseed oil for the mounting of the tapestry/wall rug,
